Devised by the marketing department of Canadian Tire, the entire body of this Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is made of more than 11,000 lbs of ice. The Icetruck was built by the automotive parts manufacturer to test the limits of their motomaster eliminator battery by freezing it to -40 degrees Celsius.

The frame was welded and reinforced to support the substantial ice body, preventing it from bending and flexing, which could destroy the icy structure. The frame, drivetrain and running gear are still made of metal and the truck is equipped with working LED headlights and taillights. However, from the windows and rear-view mirrors to the license plate and the tree-shaped car freshener hanging above the dashboard, everything was carefully carved out of blocks of ice.

After the pickup truck was constructed, it was driven over one kilometer through the chilly, suburban streets setting a world record.
